Day 1 SARAJEVO – ARRIVAL
Arrival at Sarajevo Airport. Transport to the hotel. Depending on time of arrival – hotel accommodation or panoramic City tour with the Latin bridge, place where the Austro Hungarian Archduke was assassinated, what triggered the 1st World War, visit the old town Bascarsija. Free at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 SARAJEVO
Breakfast at hotel. Walking tour of old town Bascarsija, Brusa bezistan – covered market place; Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque- built in 1530 year during the Ottoman era – and Gazi Husrev Bey’s Madrasah; Morica han built in 1551 ; OPTIONAL – Lunch at Local Restaurant in the Old part (Villa Saraj Restaurant), Vijecnica – city hall for the Austro-Hungarian era.
Visit to the Spring of River Bosnia, drive pass through the suburb Ilidza, famous for its spas since the Roman period. Visit of the Spring of Bosna River which with its natural beauty, emerges at the gate of Sarajevo.
A three kilometer long avenue, bordered by plants and sweet chestnuts leads from Ilidza to the spring of river Bosna.
You will enjoy a beautiful and picturesque drive in horse-drawn carts to the Nature Park “Vrelo Bosne”, where we can plan the lunch time. Tunnel museum – the only way of going in and out during the siege of Sarajevo in last war. Back to hotel. Overnight
Day 3 SARAJEVO – SKAKAVAC waterfall
Breakfast at hotel. (Optional) After breakfast, tour to Skakavac, one of the biggest waterfalls in Europe. Skakavac is located 12 km north of Sarajevo. Waterfall is 98 meters high and is one of the largest in Europe. This waterfall is one of the most beautiful in B&H and a real tourist attraction. Although it don’t have large flow of water, it is characterized by its extraordinary beauty, especially in winter when his slap overlaid ice forming fantastic scenes. Back to the hotel. Free at leisure. Overnight.
Day 4 SARAJEVO – BJELASNICA
Breakfast at hotel. (Optional) Drive to mountain Bjelasnica for a pleasant walk on the fresh air. The Bjelasnica Mountain (2,067 m) is a large mountain with spacious slopes, which are under snow cover for more than six months a year. The mountain was the site of the most attractive alpine ski competitions during the 14th Winter Olympic Games in 1984. But above ski center, Bjelasnica is famouse because of its incredible nature and old villages that will take your breath away. You will visit traditional villages Sabici, old village Umoljani and proceed to amazing stream „Studen potok“. After a walk, take a rest and drink bosnian coffee in Umoljani. Lunch in one of the hotels on Bjelasnica. The Igman Mountain (1,502 m) is located several minutes away from the Bjelasnica Mountain. The mountain is prized with beautiful hiking trails and exceptionally clean air. During the Winter Olympic Games, the Igman Mountain hosted Nordic events and ski jumping competitions. The Bjelasnica and Igman Mountains are among the leading tourist attractions of Sarajevo.( Optional ) Back to Sarajevo. Free at leisure. Overnight.
Day 5 SARAJEVO- PROKOSKO LAKE and BRUSNICA
Breakfast at the hotel.
(Optional) After breakfast you will visit Prokosko lake, located on the mountain Vranica.
Prokosko lake is one of the biggest natural attraction of Central Bosnia. Lunch (traditional Bosnian pie). Back to hotel. Free time to enjoy hotel services. Overnight.
Day 6 SARAJEVO – ETHNO BEY’S VILLAGE & BIJAMBARE CAVE
Breakfast at hotel , Day for leasure in nature….you will go to Ethno Beys Village is the first Bosnian village in the region. Feel the spirit of Bosnia in authentic nature environment near Sarajevo, with cozy accommodation and quality healthy food. Idea about establishing this village began when owner, passionate antic and Bosnian cultural heritage collector, decided to present his collection in authentic ambient of Bosnian village.
Location was selected and found on Highland Nisici, because that mountain region with its natural beauties and cultural and natural diversities presents Bosnia. The Village was built by ancient techniques and original, authentic materials where used, some of them where more then 200 years old. Ethno Beys village is located in a protected natural reserve zone Bijamabare between Nisicka highlands and Bijambaras cave, place Borak. Altitude is 1040, we are 500 m away from the main road Sarajevo – Tuzla. Lunch with only Bosnian native food prepared in authentic way unchanged for decades. From the nearby villages fruits, vegetables, brandy, flour, smoked meat, honey, flour, and milk products which are grown or made on the organic way without using artificial pesticides. Return to Sarajevo. Free time. Overnight .
DAY 7: SARAJEVO (departure day)
Breakfast at hotel. Check-Out. If possible, taking time for last shopping or walk in some of Sarajevo shopping malls. In afternoon hour’s drive to Sarajevo Airport for return flight.
